If you have a reversal bar nearly filled up, it might be better to take a bit of punishment rather than waste the incomplete bar on top of a full bar. At the same time, you don't always want to reverse every single move. In order to improve, you need to learn the AI's habits and get a feel for when a reversal window is going to pop up by watching the opponent's movement, not the prompts. That all said, I'd be glad to receive some tips on how to improve the experience for me as a total noob. I expected to pick this up and have some cool fights where I don't have to be some sort of fighting game virtuoso to have fun in. All I feel is frustration and a migraine because there's literally nothing I can do to get better because I never even get the chance to make a move besides maybe throw a single punch. There's difficult games I've picked up and the challenge was fun and engaging but not here. Not only can't I win a single match but in almost an hour of playing, I haven't used a single signature move because the game turns into this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t at the slightest hit I take. The reversal window appears before any useful telegraphing takes place and disappears before my finger even reaches the button. No matter who I play against who, the opponent only ever has to get one hit in and then the match turns into a one-button quick time event where I have to hit a ludicrously tiny reversal window and if I can't, I'm just gonna get beat until I lose. This is the first WWE game I've tried to play and I can't even be bothered to keep trying. My account below is pretty harshly worded but in the end it was just my fault.įrom the looks of it it's just me but this game is hard to the point where it's not enjoyable whatsoever. It was worse than my first match against an actual named wrestler in the game (Bo Dallas came out and made me his bitch for all of the 45 seconds that the match lasted.) I could not believe what I had just seen/experienced. I stand up him, hit the finisher button, he promptly reverses it then hits his finisher on me! He immediately pins me, I have this tiny sliver of a bar to hit on the pin game, and the match is over. I figure I'll just stand him up and hit it. So I cancel out, wait a few moments, and hit the Charge Finisher again when I see him start to stand up.then wait.and wait.and wait.Another minute or so goes by and I cancel out again. I get my special move back, hit it, and think I'm going to actually win! After nearly 8 hours of playing the game I might get a shot at the NXT title! Yay! My foe is on the mat rolling around and I hit my Charge Finisher button.and then wait.and wait.and wait.Seriously three minutes went by with the guy just rolling around on the mat.
He blocked my first attempt at a special move so I had to recharge, which I did. It was a pretty good match, a lot of back and forth. I won't say I'm good at either of them but I was able to have some back and forth matches and still come out on top. My goal was to get better at reversals and pin escapes.
So I put the game away, got a good nights sleep, and came back to it this morning/afternoon. I had a rough night with M圜areer since I find the reversal system extremely difficult (the pin system can be a pain too but not as much as the reversal system for me). I especially like how you can customize the difficulty to your specific needs.everywhere except M圜areer. I really enjoy the Universe mode and love most of the game.
So I've been playing quite a bit of 2k15 since it came out at midnight.
